About the Miniature Horses
|

|
The miniature horses are one of the smallest breeds in the equine world. Though the origin of the miniature horse is sketchy, miniatures were selectively bred down from larger horses. Today, there are two major registries. The AMHR (American Miniature Horse Registry) is for miniature horses measuring less than 38 inches. Part A is for horses under 34 inches while part B is for horses measuring 34 to 38 inches.  The second registry, AMHA (American Miniature Horse Assiciation) is strictly for horses measuring under 34 inches at the whithers. These are the size of miniatures that we breed for. All of our horses, unless specifically noted, come with a height guarantee that they will stay under 34 inches at the whithers when fully grown. |
